Following the passage of the Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Services on 7 April 1933, the new Nazi government continued its anti-Jewish policies with the promulgation of this law on 25 April 1933, which restricted the percentage of newly admitted Jewish pupils and students to 1.5 percent and the overall percentage of Jews at any educational institutions to no more than 5 percent.
