- Law For The Restoration Of The Professional Civil Services
On 7 April 1933, the German government promulgated a law that barred anyone not of Aryan descent from public employment and established the principle of racial differences between Jews and Germans. The law marked the start of the Nazi policy to drive Jewish professionals, such as academics and attorneys, from public employment. German Jews who served in World War I were exempt from the law.
