Blood Libel

Blood Libel
The canard that Jews murder and then use the blood of Christian children for the purpose of baking unleavened bread on Passover has its origin in Christian Europe in 12th-century England (although the first accusation is acknowledged to be that of Apion in the first century) and then flooded Europe during the following centuries. The blood-libel charge was frequently used in Nazi Germany by Julius Streicher in his anti-Semitic weekly Der Sturmer (The Stormer) as both a caricature and propaganda to incite the German people against Jews.
