Volksdeutsche

Volksdeutsche
(Ethnic germans)
Adolf Hitler sought to resettle on the occupied territory in western Poland those ethnic Germans who resided in countries outside the Reich. An important objective of the policy of Lebensraum was the removal of Poles and Jews from the annexed territory and the resettlement of millions of ethnic Germans in their place. Hitler also demanded that regardless of their political status in other countries, the primary allegiance of all Germans, both inside and outside the Reich, should be to Germany.
