Haymaking

Haymaking
   The Nazi code name for the kidnapping of Polish and Russian children of Nordic or Aryan appearance, and their placement in Schutzstaffel (SS) maternity homes in Germany, where they were adopted by German families. This was a part of the operation of the Lebensborn organization created by Heinrich Himmler in 1935 for the purpose of increasing the racial stock of the German nation.
