Central Bureau For Jewish Emigration

Central Bureau For Jewish Emigration
(Zentralstelle Fur Jludische Auswanderung)
This government agency was initially created in Vienna by the Nazis following the Anschluss on 13 March 1938. The agency was placed under the supervision of Adolf Eichmann, whose primary task was to encourage Jews to leave Austria. Eichmann was so successful in this endeavor that a similar bureau was created in Germany.
